Egypt demands Qatar hand Qatari accused of death of 5 Egyptians

The Egyptian attorney general Maher Abdul Wahid on Sunday announced that Egypt asked Qatar to hand it over one of its citizens over accusations addressed to him of being behind a car accident on September 23 at Cairo International airport highway that resulted in killing five persons and injuring other 10, following a car race with one young Egyptian.
Abdul Wahid said that he received from the Egyptian foreign ministry what stated that the Qatari authorities arrested the accused Saud Bin Salman Bin Saud al-Thani who was driving one of the two cars in the race, and who left Egypt immediately after the incident as soon as he arrived in Qatar and was held in custody for interrogation.
Abdul Wahid indicated that in case the accused Qatari man is not handed over to the Egyptian authorities, investigation measures will be made against him and be brought for trial in Qatar, according to the Qatari law, then, one member of the Egyptian attorney will be permitted to attend the Qatari investigations and rights of the victims and their families will be preserved.
