Tishrin: Syrian premier outlines main economic indicators

Syria's Prime Minister Naji Otari underlined that the Syrian economy is promising and the improvement of the living conditions and the executions of the development plans are strategic goals.

The prime minister added in an interview published today by Tishrin daily that there was a program to increase the salaries along side other programs that focus on those of limited and lesser income of the state workers.

He pointed out that the reform process has taken good steps on the economic level. He stressed the necessity to boost investment to reach SP 1700 billions during the five coming years.

He pointed out that the current investment has reached SP 260 billions compared to SP 224 last year.

He said that tourism is a very important and necessary for the development of the economy in addition to the Real Estate Investment Law.
