Diplomatic moves to contain crisis of emigrants from Morocco to Spain

The Spanish foreign minister Migeul Angle Moratinos who arrived in Rabat today hopes to reach a political agreement in which he requests an emergency plan from the UN humanitarian agencies for the emigrants.

Well-informed sources said that Madrid will also urge the European Union to launch a vast European plan including the launch of measures on migration including the countries involved in departure, crossing and arrival for emigrants.

The Spanish minister of interior Jose Antonio Alonzo said that all illegal emigrants will be evacuated.

Moreover, the Spanish government decided to expand the scale of negotiations so as to include Algeria, Mauritania, Libya ( crossing countries) and to maintain negotiations with the countries of the southern Sahara especially Mali, Cameroon, Senegal and Niger from where the wave of emigrants start.

The Moroccan government considers the need of implementing an international aid plan to improve the economic conditions in the southern Sahara countries to limit emigration operations.
