American attacks against al-Anbar to continue til elections

A spokesman for the US army in Iraq said that its attacks in west Iraq will continue until December, at least. He explained "we will continue fighting until the referendum and will continue the fighting until the elections."
Two suicide bombers detonated themselves in Baghdad on Thursday. The first was in an explosive inside a car carrying guards and employees working for the ministry of oil, while the second was in a booby trapped car in a procession believed to be for an official that resulted in killing 10 Iraqis and injuring other 19.
The Iraqi police also announced the killing of one police man and resistance men in a fire exchange during a chase of two gunmen driving a booby trapped car in the center of Baghdad.
The Iraqi police announced the killing of 11 Iraqis, including one retired army officer in the Iraqi police and his two-year daughter and the injuring of other 8 in separate attacks in Baghdad, Karkouk, al-Musil, al-Ishaqi, Balad and al-Sherqat. In Beiji two bodies were found for one Iraqi engineer and one Turkish businessman.
Witnesses said that unidentified gunmen broke into the house of the leading figure of al-Dawa party Haitham al-Husseini, who is also a member in the local council in Alexandria town. When they did not find him in the house they opened fire at his father and two of his brothers and killed them immediately before they fled.
Witnesses said that the American forces carried out a landing operation over a house and a mosque in Karbala on Thursday and arrested more than 10 persons.
The US army announced the killing of one of its soldiers in a bomb explosions of his vehicle during a military operation carried out by the American forces north of Baghdad.
