Iran's foreign minister heads to Saudi Arabia to contain looming crisis

The Iranian foreign minister Mano Shaher Mutaqqi will hold talks in Saudi Arabia, tomorrow, dealing with the situation in Iraq.
This is two days after the meetings of the Arab committee in support of Iraq held in Jeddah which furnished for a visit expected to be carried out by the Arab league AL secretary general Amr Moussa to Baghdad, shortly.
The Saudi foreign minister prince Saud al-Faisal announced in conclusion of the meetings of the Arab committee that he will discuss with his Iranian counterpart all developments of the situation in Iraq.
Earlier, al-Faisal expressed concern over what he described the Iranian interferences in Iraq. He said in an interview with the New York Times that the Iraqis complain of Iranian interference that includes the sneaking of men and weapons as well as intervention in the political life of Iraq.
On the other hand, the Iranian foreign ministry expressed regret over statements made by the Saudi foreign minister. One Iranian spokesman said that "the Islamic republic does not expect such statements from her friends in these critical conditions taking place in the region and considers them as sudden and unwise."
