Rice: a new Iraq parliament under the new constitution may address interest of all

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said last week that as Sunnis, who largely shunned the January assembly elections, "are registering in droves to be part of this political process. And if you had a more representative assembly, then I think those rules will probably get written in a way that addresses the interests of various competing interests."
It is said reported that parliamentary elections will be held whether the constitutional draft is adopted this month in a referendum, or whether it fails, in which case the parliament is desolved.
