Iran, Lebanon call on Israel to abandon nuclear weapons

Iran and Lebanon Friday issued a statement calling for dismantlement of Israel's Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs). The statement, issued by visiting Majlis Speaker of Iran Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel and his Lebanese counterpart Nabih Berri, stressed the importance of scrapping WMDs in the Middle East region, IRNA reported yesterday.
The report said that "It called on the international community to force the Zionist regime to speedily destroy its WMDs."
