Iranian official visits Lebanon

Chairman of the Iranian Consultative Council Gholam Ali Haddad Adel said Thursday that his visit to Lebanon aims at enhancing relations between Iran and the two countries.
In a statement before leaving Tehran heading to Lebanon on a 4-day visit, Adel stressed the importance of continuing discussions among the Iranian and Lebanese officials regarding the current situation in Lebanon and the region. He pointed out that he will raise with the Lebanese officials the issue of the Iranian diplomats who were kidnapped in Lebanon in the 1980s.
