Gul: Turkey rejects US pressures on it regarding Syria
Syria-Turkey, Politics, 9/30/2005

Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul on Thursday underlined his country's rejection of US pressures on Turkey regarding Syria. "Turkey will continue boosting relations with Syria and other neighbouring countries.. Turkey is not concerned with the US position towards these countries," Gul said in a press conference.

Turkish NTV station, for its part, quoted diplomatic sources as saying that Turkish Premier Recep Tayyep Erdogan and Gul consider Syria as a main part in regional equations and in boosting security and stability in the Middle East.
