Syrian army chief confers with Russia's Ivanov

Chief of Staff of the Army and Armed Forces Major General Ali Habib on Wednesday discussed with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov the existing cooperation and friendship between the two armies of Syria and Russia.
Both sides reviewed means of boosting and developing these relations in a way to serve the common interests of the two countries. They also discussed the latest developments in the region. The meeting was attended by Russian Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces General Yuri Palovsky.
