Hughes commends Saudi Arabia, calls it to honor non Muslims
Saudi Arabia-USA, Politics, 9/28/2005

In conclusion of her visit to Saudi Arabia in the course of her tour on the Middle East, US Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Karen Hughes commended the Saudi King Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz after she commended the efforts made by the kingdom in fighting what is called terrorism. She called on the Saudis to "respect non Muslims."

Hughes also met with the Saudi crown prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz before she left Jeddah heading for Turkey on Tuesday evening in the course of her tour through which she aims to improve the image of the USA in the region.

US President George W. Bush commended earlier the role played by Saudi Arabia in fighting what is called terrorism. He said that the kingdom collaborates in the war against terrorism. A matter which permits them to be provided with aid.

With her assertion that her tour came under the slogan of "respect and contacts" Hughes confirmed before her visit to Saudi Arabia that Washington is still concerned over the situation of human rights in the Kingdom. She said that the Saudis have before them a long road and much work in this regard.
