Palestine-Israel, Military, 9/27/2005
In Gaza, where various parts were exposed to Israeli air raids on Monday, Israel continued its threats to launch more raids despite the announcement made by the Hamas movement officially to halt its attacks in the Israeli depth in order to save "Palestinian blood."
Confirmed news reports said that the Israeli warplanes launched 6 raids on Monday at dawn at various targets in Gaza, including a training center for al-Aqsa martyrs, the armed groups for the Palestine national liberation movement ( Fatah) in Rafah city south of Gaza, but no casualties were reported.
On Sunday evening, the Israeli forces assassinated two Palestinians. One of them was the leader of Saraya al-Quds, Muhammad al-Sheikh Khalil, in the south of Gaza, by firing a missile from the air at his car while he was heading for his house in Rafah in the coastal road of Gaza. Four other Palestinians were injured in the attack.
Saraya al-Quds, the military wing of al-Jihad movement vowed to retaliate the assassination of its leader in the south of the sector. It said in a statement its "answer will be horrible in the heart of the Zionist entity."
