al-Ra'y al-Aam: Targeting Syria has negative effects on the region: Libyan official

Secretary of the People's Committee for External Contact in Libya, Abdul Rahman Shalqem, has said "targeting Syria under any allegation will have catastrophic consequences on the region," asserting the importance of dialogue to solve all suspending issues.
In a statement to Kuwaiti al-Ra'y al-Aam newspaper published Thursday, Shalqem added "Since we are talking about peace, dialogue and understanding, we should implement it and use it everywhere." He denied any contact between Libya and Israel, describing what has been reported before as false allegations.
