Al-Assad receives Chechen president

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad received Chechen president Alu Al-khanov with the attendance of Minister of State for Red Crescent affairs Bashar al-Shaar.
President Al-khanov delivered president al-Assad a letter from his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin related to bilateral relations between Syria and Russia as well as recent development in the region. Talks during the meeting dealt with historic deep-rooted ties between Syria and Chechnya and other federal Russian republics.
