Norway's labor party leader on Thursday notified the American President George W. Bush that Norway will withdraw its forces from Iraq. UK's Prime Minister Tony Blair was under renewed pressure to withdraw British troops from Iraq from almost 100 public figures, describing the war as an "unmitigated disaster," IRNA reported today. A personal letter signed by celebrities, academics, musicians, MPs and activists was handed in Blair's office by British actress Julie Christie, saying that many soldiers, who did not want to serve in Iraq, had been killed, wounded or maimed.
