Saudi Arabia ready to deal with all WTO members
Saudi Arabia-Israel, Economics, 9/14/2005
Saudi Arabia's minister of commerce and industry Hashem Yamani said that it will deal with all member states of the World Trade Organization, after joining in, according to agreements of the said organization.
Yamani, who presides over the Saudi negotiating teams to join the WTO, did not mention Israel by name, but he said that the boycott of the second grade and third grade ( with Israel) ended with the issuance of the decision taken by the Saudi cabinet by the beginning of the year built on the decision of the higher council for the Gulf Cooperation Council issued in its 14th session in 1993.
This announcement came after one American statement said that the kingdom agreed to permit trade with Israel in the framework of its negotiations with the USA to join the organization.
The Saudi papers had quoted Yamani on Sunday as denying Saudi Arabia commitment to any trade relations with Israel in the context of its bilateral agreement with the USA to join the world Trade Organization.
