Bombardment of Green Zone in Baghdad

Gunmen in Iraq on Tuesday bombarded the Green Zone and other areas in the center of the Iraqi capital.
Military sources said that two mortars fell near the military hospital in the area which includes the building of the government and the parliament as well as several foreign embassies especially the American embassy. The sources added that two other rockets exploded outside the Green Zone.
Smokes columns were seen in the sky of an area near the military hospital and the military helicopters flying in the sky of the area.
In another development, a source in the Iraqi ministry of the Interior on Tuesday announced the death of three Iraqis and injuring of other 11 in two attacks in al-Doura area south of Baghdad and in al-Hella.
Meantime, the Wshington Post reported today that Insurgents killed at least 141 people today " in at least 10 separate bombings and rocket attacks that made for one of Baghdad's deadliest days."
