Mubarak vows to continue reform

President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt has vowed to continue reforms, considering that what Egypt is witnessing "is a turning point in its history." This was expressed in his first statements after he won the presidential elections.
Mubarak said, talking to the cadres of the democratic national party, that there is no backtracking from continuing the reforms, adding that the real winner in these elections in Egypt are the Egyptians and the real victory is the victory of democracy.
The Egyptian president vowed to lower unemployment and create work opportunities, expressing his thanks for all the Egyptian people who took part in the elections "regardless of the candidate they had chosen." He also thanked the judges over accepting supervision of these elections.
