Islamic scholars underline relations with Syria

Islamic scholars' Assembly in Lebanon on Tuesday called for maintaining best relations with sisterly Syria. The scholars said in a statement following a meeting in the Lebanese northern region of Akkar that "the Lebanese are going ahead in the national reconciliation process, civil peace and coexistence."

They stressed the "importance of supporting the national resistance which had proved capability of deterring the Israeli enemy aggressions."
