Erdogan says anti-Islamism is a crime against humanity
Turkey-European Union, Politics, 9/6/2005
Turkish Premier Recep Tayyep Erdogan on Monday considered that anti-Islamism is a crime against humanity. "We suggest on the European Council to include a phrase in its declaration that considers anti-Islamism as a crime against humanity," Erdogan said in an opening speech to the 6th session of the Islamic Shurra Council for Eurasia region held in Ankara.
He added that some sides exert efforts to attribute terrorism to Muslims, underlying the necessity of challenging these efforts. "Problems which the Islamic world is suffering from should be resolved through dialogue, consultation and democracy," he said.
