Syrian- Lebanese talks about economic cooperation

Syria and Lebanon on Sunday stressed the necessity of boosting economic cooperation and trade exchange between them.
During a meeting, Syria's Minister of Economy and Trade, Amer Hosni Lutfi, and his Lebanese counterpart Sami Hadad discussed the economic relations between Syria and Lebanon and means of enhancing them.
Lutfi underlined the possibility for the Lebanese industrialists to make benefit from the Syrian industrial zones and facilities given to the investors in all domains, pointing out to the importance of activating the agreements signed between the two states in their interest.
For his part, the Lebanese minister asserted the necessity of achieving economic integration between the two states and to make joint projects in the investment and services fields.
He also pointed out to the possibility of establishing joint tourist investments with joint capital and Lebanese experts.
Secretary General of the Syrian-Lebanese Higher Council Nasri Khouri, who attended the meeting, underlined to the importance of signing a Syrian-Lebanese agreement in order to encourage the joint investments between the two states.
