Zawahiri threatens westerns of London-like attacks
Iraq-Regional, Politics, 9/2/2005

The al-Qaida organization, for the first time, in a televised video tape claimed responsibility for the London explosion which took place on July 7th which had targeted tunnel train stations and one bus in the center of London during where 56 persons were killed.

The tape includes a will, for Muhamad Siddiq, one of the executors of the explosions, explaining the reasons why he made the attack. Siddiq held western citizens the responsibility for London, and Madrid explosions, and the US September 11 incidents because they "elect governments that commit crimes against humanity." He stressed that western citizens will not feel secure and will continue to be the target for such operations."

Siddiq justified what he had done of following the steps of " rophets, messengers and martyrs... Sheikh Osama Bin Laden, Dr. al-Zawahiri and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi." The tape also includes along statement for the second man in al-Qaida organization Ayman al-Zawahiri in which he said that these explosions are a slap for the policy of the British prime minister Tony Blair at the moment when the G-8 summit was convened," adding that these "explosions" transferred the fight to the land of the enemy after it continued for long decades transferring this fight to our lands, and after its forces occupied our lands in Chechenea, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Palestine, and after it continued to occupy our lands for centuries while it was still safe in their land."

He said "I am talking to you today about the () invasion of London which came as a slap on the face of the arrogant British crusaders, and made it drink from the same bitter glass it had ever gave the Muslims to drink from."

In a threatening tone, al-Zawahiri said "make sure, you peoples of crusaders alliance, to have catastrophes hit you. These will be brought to you by the policies conducted by Bush and Blair and their followers. You, people of the Crusaders alliance, we have warned you, but it seemed you want us to drink your death, so taste what you have already given to us." Al-Zawahiri justified targeting western civilians by saying "it is the same reciprocated treatment. Are the people in cour countries not women and children?"

Al-Zawahiri recalled what was stated by al-Qaida in some of its earlier statements that western civilians "are the ones who pay taxes for Bush and Blair to prepare their armies, and support Israel, and they are serving in their forces. They elected them ( Bush and Blair). Even those who did not elect them consider them as legal leaders who have the right to give orders and be obeyed.

Al-Zawahiri also warned the Pakistani President Musharraf. He said that Musharraf is proceeding maters so as to enable "The Hindos and the Crusaders to rule the Pakistani people." He said that this will take to the moment when the Pakistanis will find themselves and houses broken up by the Indian army and "occupied Kashmir to be expanded then to cover all of Pakistan." Al-Zawahiri also provoked what he called al-Jihad and resistance recalling texts from the Quran and the Sunna.

The tape also included excerpts from archive speeches and statements for the leader of al-Qaida organization Osama Bin Laden, including his aim to make the security of the westerners vulnerable to propose a truce to the Europeans.
