423 Golanese in Syria for study, see relatives

423 Syrian Arab citizens of occupied Golan besides 54 Syrian Golan students have crossed today via the liberated Quneitra check point into Syria to underline connection with motherland and stress belonging to Syria.

"The visit of 423 of the Golan sheikhs from five villages comes in frame of communication and as an expression of attachment to the Syrian identity as well motherland Syria. It is to overcome all artificial barriers made by the usurped Israeli occupation," a student to join Damascus university told SANA.

Some of Syrians expressed their happiness to visit the motherland and said they were proud of their Syrian identity and their belonging to motherland Syria.

"We hope our land will be liberated and the brutal occupation will be removed as well the Golan will be freed and the just and comprehensive peace will prevail in the region," a Syrian student said.

Some Golan Sheikhs talked about the "Israeli inhuman practices," and their confiscation of lands in addition to preventing them from selling their crops this year in a bid to economically control them."

The 54 Syrian students were to continue their studies at Damascus University.
