Egyptian forces will deploy between Israel, the Palestinians

The chairman of the Egyptian intelligence Omar Suleiman said that the Egyptian- Israeli agreement on deployment of Egyptian border guards along the Egyptian borders with Gaza will be signed next week.
Suleiman said in conclusion of his talks in Jerusalem with the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon that he had agreed with him on all details pertinent to the agreement, adding that two Egyptian, and Israeli military delegations will sign it during next week.
Al-Jazeera satelite TV said that the agreement, which is but a military protocol attached to the Israeli- Egyptian peace agreement, states to deploy Egyptian forces among the borders with Gaza for the first time since 38 years.
The correspondent added that the protocol determines the type of weapons to be used by the Egyptian border guards who will be deployed on Salah Eddin axis of 14 km length. The agreement will also decide the weapons' type that Egypt will transfer to the Palestinian authority.
It is expected that the Israeli forces will be pulled out from the border by the fall of the end of the year after Israel would have completed the withdrawal of its remaining forces from Gaza.
