Four US soldiers killed in Iraq

The American army announced on Wednesday that four of its soldiers were killed in separate attacks during the few past days. One American soldier was killed and other three injured in a bomb explosion targeted their procession in Sameraa city north of Baghdad.

Another American soldier was killed in a bomb explosion on the road side in Alexandria south of Baghdad on Tuesday. A third soldier was killed near TelAfer city near al-Musil by the fire of gunmen last Saturday.

One American military helicopter was exposed to intensive fire in Tel-Afer and this resulted in killing a fourth soldier. According to numbers put by the Pentagon, August is considered the bloodiest month for the American forces for 2005, as 83 American soldiers were killed in it including 74 in fighting.

The numbers of August are considered the highest among the killed Americans in the fighting since the invasion of the American forces of Iraq in March. In November 2004, 125 American soldiers were killed while 126 others were killed in April.

Since the beginning of the war, the USA, lost according to figures of its defense department 1879 soldiers of its forces in Iraq.
