Assafir: Solana will not visit Lebanon today

The Lebanese authorities on Monday received news from officials of the European Union in Brussels that Javier Solana, the higher coordinator for the higher foreign policy and joint security, will not be able to visit Lebanon today as scheduled because of urgent preoccupations in Brussels.

The Lebanese daily Assafir said in its today's issue that the UN envoy for following up the implementation of UN resolution 1559, Terry Rod Larsen, also decided to delay his visit to Lebanon which was due in mid week to a later date.
