Syrian trucks- and congestion on borders with Iraq
Syria-Iraq, Politics, 8/25/2005

Syria's Customs Director General, Bassel Sannoufa has said that there isn't any traffic congestion regarding the trucks on the Syrian side of aTanf border crossing with Iraq, and that the congestion is actually on the Iraqi Walid border crossing.

In a statement to reporters, Sannoufa indicated that the meticulous inspection by the US troops of the trucks carrying cement to Iraq is the main reason behind traffic congestion at the borders while other trucks that carry other goods pass the check points smoothly.
