Egyptian exports to US up

The volume of Egyptian exports to the US witnessed a 52 percent increase during the first five months of fiscal year 2005.
According to a report received by Egyptian Foreign Trade and Industry Minister Rasheed Mohamed Rasheed, the increase was estimated at $ 624 million compared to $ 412 million during the same period in 2004.
Egyptian imports from the US decreased to $1.193 billion during the same period.
According to the report, Egyptian trade deficit with the US has gone down to $ 568 million from $1.4 billion.
