Egypt sets up anti-monopoly body

Egypt's Premier Ahmed Nazif Friday decreed the formation of an anti-monopoly body. Mona Fahmy, vice chairperson of the board of the National Bank of Egypt, will be in charge of the body.
According to the decree, the board will have a four-year renewable term. The new body will have powers to closely monitor the impact of suspected monopolistic deals on the local market.
