Iraqi transport minister arrives in Damascus

Iraqi Transport Minister, Salam Aodeh Malki arrived on Saturday in Damascus on a three-day official visit to Syria where he is scheduled to hold talks on transport issues.
The talks of the Iraqi minister are expected to be focused on air transport and exchange of air trips between Damascus and Baghdad in addition to taking part in the meetings of the Iraqi-Syrian Land Transport General Assembly, and the Iraqi-Syrian Maritime Transport General Assembly. In a statement to SANA reporter on Friday, Syria's Minister of Transport Makram Obeid said " future projects in the field of railways and means of developing the performance of the joined establishments for land and maritime transport are to be discussed during the visit."
