Saudi Arabia announces killing four al-Qaida members

Saudi Arabia's ministry of interior said on Thursday that it killed four members of al-Qaida organization, including its leader in Saudi Arabia, Saleh Muhammad al-Oufi, during confrontations in the capital Riyadh and the city of al-Madina al-Munawara.
A statement issued by the spokesman for the ministry of the interior Lt. gen. Mansour al-Turkey said that al-Oufi was killed together with another member of "al-Takfir Wal Hijra" group in confrontation in al-Madina al-Munawara, and resulted in killing nine gunmen and injuring one wanted and one resident in addition to one security man.
The statement added that the investigation side is trying to make sure of the identity of al-Oufi, while other sources indicated that clashes took place in al-Maseif quarters in Riyadh resulted in killing two wanted and injuring two others.
Al-Oufi is one of the two main wanted persons since two years in the kingdom, and was one of the two wanted out of a list of 26 wanted issued by the Saudi authorities in December 2003 where the only remaining wanted person after the killing of al-Oufi on this list is Taleb Bin Taleb.
