Four American soldiers killed in Iraq
Iraq-USA, Military, 8/19/2005

Four US soldiers in Tikrit were killed by a roadside bomb near Samera city, north of Baghdad, according to a statement by the US army.

The killing of the four soldiers came following the announcement of death of more than 60 American soldiers in Iraq this month, including 14 who were killed in a strong explosion that hit their armored vehicle near Haditha, west of Iraq.

According to the US army, a roadside bomb explosions resulted in killing one third of this number. The American officials said that the gunmen have improved their bomb-making skills, and have developed strong bombs that have the ability to concentrate explosions in a single direction, and thus be able to penetrate the protection armor of military vehicles.
