Firestone instruments unearthed by Syrian-French expedition

Many flint-made instruments used by ancient man dating back to old historical periods, as well architectural elements of brick and stone going back to the Roman and Islamic times, were unearthed recently by the Joint Syrian-French expedition at the Syrian desert.
Director of Ruins in Palmyra, central Syria, Walid Asaad, told SANA reporter today the discoveries "pose as evidence of the archeological, economic and environmental that clarify delicate data over pre historic times in the orient and explains the great importance of the region." During previous archeological seasons, the expedition uncovered remains of a human skeleton dating back to about half a million years as there were discoveries of many animals like giraffe, deer, as well as lions.
