Suddeutsche: German newspaper notes US failure in iraq
Iraq-USA, Politics, 8/17/2005
German newspaper Suddeutsche said "the U.S. government admits its failure in Iraq and seeks to drive attention away from its dilemma in Baghdad." In an analysis published Tuesday, the newspaper described the Americans in the wake of the war in Iraq as "those who are sick from having set fire, but they want to be awarded as firemen," asserting that the flames in Iraq have become out of control.
It also reviewed the current situation in Washington as well as the repercussions of killing more than 1,800 American soldiers, asserting that most of the Americans realize now that the war in Iraq was a mistake in addition to the spread of symptoms of repercussions that are similar to those experienced from the Vietnam war.
