NPF: Syria is able to face pressures
Syria, Politics, 8/17/2005

Central Leadership of the National Progressive Front in Syria (NPF), which has in it the ruling party along with other parties, expressed confidence in Syria's ability to "face pressures imposed on her, as well as being able to overcome blocks hindering its way to progress."

In a meeting held Tuesday, the Leadership highly appreciated President Bashar al-Assad's distinguished role in building the state, achieving its people's aspirations and defending the Arab higher interests. It also listened to a report by Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara on the latest political regional and international developments, and Premier Mohammad Naji Ottri also presented a report on government's plans to tackle issues of concern to citizens.
