Saudi Arabia calls Israel to withdraw from West Bank
Saudi Arabia-Palestine, Politics, 8/16/2005
Saudi Arabia on Monday called on Israel to withdraw from the West Bank following its withdrawal from Gaza Strip. The Saudi Cabinet, following a weekly session, expressed the Kingdom's hope that the Israeli pull out of occupied Gaza will be a step towards an Israeli full withdrawal from the occupied Palestinian territories to enable the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
In this context, the statement said that the Cabinet underlined Saudi Arabia's commitment to the Arab peace initiative of Beirut summit of 2002 proposed by King of Saudi Arabia Abdullah Ibn Abd al-Aziz.
