Mrs Mubarak to open friendly school project for children

Egypt's First Lady Suzanne Mubarak opens in Alexandria Monday the first stage of a project to set up a number of special classes that would mainly care for primary schools dropouts and street Children.
Minister of Education Ahmed Gamal Eddin said that 13 classes would be opened in 6 governorates, namely Assiut, Fayyoum, Suhag, Giza and Cairo in addition to Alexandria. He pointed out that the project, carried out in cooperation with civil society as non-governmental organizations, aims at enabling for drop-outs and homeless children to resume their basic education.
