Rasheed: Unified import-export data

"The Ministry of Industry and Foreign Trade and the Ministry of Finance are currently investigating a cooperation protocol to help the flow of information about exports and imports between the two sides," Egypt's Minister of Foreign Trade and Industry Rasheed Mohamed Rasheed said Saturday.
Rasheed, who had already reviewed a project for creating a foreign trade database, said that this protocol is a step towards the creation of a comprehensive and accurate database about Egypt's imports and exports. "Having a clear database is part of the ministry's transparent policy," said Rasheed, adding that this will help obtain accurate indications of trade and industry growth and the new level of direct foreign investment.
