CAMPAS report: 67, 099 mosques in Egypt

Egypt's mosques and small places of worship are currently numbered at 67,099 and 16,449 respectively.
This was revealed yesterday by the Central Authority for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
El-Sharqya governorate contains the largest number of worship places with over 10,000.
This is followed by el- Behera governorate with 7789, Shouhag governorate with 5806, el-Daqahlya with 5681; and then Cairo with 5351.
The least number is found m South Sinai with only 132 Islamic worship places.
