al-Gomhurieh: Egypt to deploy 750 soldiers for securing frontiers with Gaza

Egypt's ambassador to Israel Mohamed Assem Ibrahim said some 750 Egyptian officers and soldiers would be deployed next week for securing frontiers with Gaza following the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza which is due to start Wednesday next.

In exclusive statements to al-Gomhurieh, ambassador Ibrahim said Egypt has exerted much effort for supporting Palestinians during negotiations with the Israeli government. Meantime, sources at the Ministry of Civil Aviation said Egypt is prepared to provide the Palestinian Authority with experts for rehabilitating and operating Gaza airport.
