Al-Assad calls Baath central committee for results

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad explained on Sunday the current political developments which the region is witnessing stressing the validity of the Syrian vision of events and credibility of her analysis of the situation.

Presiding over the Baath Arab Socialist Party Central Committee meeting, President al-Assad underlined the significance of the "brave and objective dialogue" asserting that the "public interest and service of the people's interests must be on top priorities."

He underlined the importance of the committee meeting after convening of the party 10th regional congress hailing the committee role to follow-up the party plans, policies and work mechanism. He called for results from a membership that is active in order to produce needed work on the political as well economic levels.

President al-Assad reviewed the most important developments on the economic level and the underway works for preparing the 10th five-year plan in addition to the exerted efforts to improve citizens living conditions.
