Amhoteb Pharaonic Museum to open in Saqqara, Giza

Egypt's Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA) Zahi Hawas said the Amhoteb Museum will be the first of its type in Egypt as it tells the life story of the "Pharaonic Architect."
Construction of the museum took three years at the cost of LE 5 million, he said.
The new museum will showcase 1,500 unique antiques and will be placed on the Egyptian tourist map.
Director of Museums Sector at the ministry Mahmoud Mabrouq said the renovation of the museum will be in symmetry with the Giza pyramids plateau and Saqqara in the background.
