Taye vows return to Mauritania

The toppled president of Mauritania, Mu'aweya Weld al-Taye, called on forces supporting him in Mauritania to interfere in order to restore matters to its constitutional order, saying he will return back to his country, according to news agencies that quoted al-Taye in an interview with Arabia TV.
The toppled Mauritanian president said from his residence in Niger that leaders of the coupe whom he described as "criminals" "betrayed him and cheated the people," stressing he continues his diplomatic consultations especially with the European Union, giving no further details.
The leaders of the coup,e who toppled him five days ago, desolved the parliament and appointed Nouakchott ambassador in Paris, Sayed Muhammad Weld Bu Baker, as a new prime minister for an interim government to last for two years.
