Lebanon, Politics, 8/4/2005
President Emile Lahoud of Lebanon said that a state cannot survive without an independent and just judiciary system. The president added during a meeting on Wednesday with members of the Supreme Council of Judiciary, headed by Charles Rizk, that any attempt to politicize the judiciary harms its own independence and impartiality.
