Hizbullah chief meets Iran's revolution supreme leader
Lebanon-Iran, Politics, 8/3/2005

Supreme Leader of Iran's Islamic Revolution, Ali Khamenei, said Tuesday that Lebanon's Hizbullah has proved capability of resisting the Israeli aggression, and that it enjoys wisdom and political experience.

"The region is passing through new sensitive conditions.. correct understanding of those conditions will have an important role in taking decisive decisions," Khamenei added during a meeting with Lebanese Hizbullah Secretary General Hasan Nasrullah.

Nasrullah, for his part, said that the main target of the US administration and Israel is disarming his party, but "the outcomes of the Lebanese elections were contradictory to what the US had wished for," he added.

In this context, Iranian Defense Minister, Ali Shamkhani, underlined in a similar meeting with Nasrullah that Hizbullah represents a successful example of resistance which defeated the Israeli occupation.
