Abbas meets Egyptian security team

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met yesterday with the high-ranking Egyptian security delegation currently visiting Gaza, headed by Major General Moustafa el-Buheiri.
The delegation arrived in Gaza to reactivate Palestinian dialogue and restore calm, most notably between the Palestinian security forces and Hamas, ahead of the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza Strip in mid-August. The Palestinian Cabinet held its weekly meeting in Ramallah yesterday. Cabinet sources said that the meeting will focus on the planned withdrawal.
