UN resolution 1559, a cause for sedition among Lebanese People
Lebanon, Politics, 7/27/2005

Chairman of the Lebanese Solidarity Party, Emile Rahma, has stressed that the Lebanese new government should enhance the distinguished relations between Syria and Lebanon and reactivate the fraternal, cooperation and coordination treaty between them.

In a statement to Tishrin daily on Tuesday, Rahma reiterated Lebanon's rejection to the UN 1559 resolution, considering it as inciting sedition among the Lebanese people. UN 1559 resolution calls for disarming the resistance.

Rahma called on the Lebanese government to stop foreign interference in Lebanon's internal affairs.

On the latest assassinations in Lebanon, he said that the enemies of Lebanon and Israel in particular, stand behind these acts.

On overcoming the crisis between Syria and Lebanon, Rahma said that the Syrian-Lebanese relations should be corrected based on President Bashar al-Assad's latest speech before the Syrian People's Assembly.
