Attacks on Iraqi borders with Jordan

Six Iraqis including several police men were killed and others were injured in various attacks in Baghdad, Karkouk in the north, where a Turkish engineer was kidnapped.
Meantime, the American army announced the killing of one of its soldiers in a bomb blast on the border with Jordan. Al-Jazeera TV said that another suicide attack by a booby trapped car resulted in injuring American soldiers and the destruction of two vehicles at an inspection point inside Tartabil complex on the border with Jordan.
On the other hand, al-Jihad al-Qaida organization in Iraq broadcasted a tape showing the Egyptian ambassador Eyab al-Sharif, whose killing was announced several days ago, talking about how the "peace agreement between Egypt and Israel divided Sinai to four parts, part of which the Israelis and foreigners living in Israel enter through without entry visas."
This tape coincided with Sharm al-Sheikh explosions at a time when Algeria announced it is carrying contacts inside Iraq to release the Algerian charge de affairs in Iraq and his assistant.
Meantime, the American forces in Iraq announced the detention of more than 100 persons in an area close to Alexandria in southern Baghdad over suspicion that they are members in armed Iraqi groups.
