British report on Israeli violations of human rights
Palestine-UK, Politics, 7/23/2005
The British Foreign Office has underlined Israeli violations of human rights in the occupied Palestinian lands, saying "this issue arouses Britain's deep concern." In its annual report on human rights issued Friday, Britain underscored that Israeli troops' practices, the racial separation wall, and Israeli settlers' conduct have caused Palestinians great pain.
The report also pointed out to Betslem Israeli organization's report, which revealed that Israel killed about 403 Palestinian citizens, including 114 children and demolished 413 homes between March and September 2004.
The report said "Britain stresses, in this regard, that Israel has violated Geneva 4th Convention and the International Human Rights Declaration," expressing deep concern over the limited accountability Israel faces for its practices in the occupied lands.
