Al-Assad in Tehran tomorrow

The Iranian official news agency IRNA said yesterday that the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad will Saturday pay a visit to Tehran that lasts for two days.
IRNA quoted the "Iran" daily as saying that the Syrian president will be meeting during this visit with the spiritual guide Ayatullah Ali Khameani and the president whose term of office expired Muhammad Khatami, and the elected President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as well as the former President Hashami Rafsanjani "in order to discuss bilateral cooperation and developments of conditions and regional and international issues." IRNA quoted political analysts that "the sudden visit is of special importance in the current conditions overwhelming the region."
